This year, I did nothing during Golden week except for work. Most of the time, I just stayed in alone because my wife and daughter headed to my wife’s parents home and they spent about a week there. I alternated between vegging out and being a couch potato. It was a good opportunity to take a break from work and I could rest up for hectic days.

By the way, Golden week is a collection of holidays grouped closely together. It’s called “Golden” because it’s the longest vacation period for most Japanese workers.
