I was thinking if you are able to be familiar with American’s English, then you would be able to talk with people around the world easily. But it was totally under the wrong impression because I barely communicated with Malaysian in English while I was staying there even though I’m a good enough to have a small talk with Americans in English. The conversation among Malaysians and me wasn’t smooth at all. Actually I was pretty struggling to listen their English because they have a strong accent and their English expression was so different from the English I’m familiar with. At the same time, I felt I still have ways to go with with my English from a perspective of the worldwide standard of English.
